Job Description

We have an exciting post for a registered (or soon to be qualified) Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about working with people with learning disabilities.



The post is offered at a band 7 or 8a (dependent on experience) with the potential for progression from band 7 to 8a through a competency-based gateway.



You would be joining a friendly and well-established team of psychologists who provide psychological interventions as part of a multi-disciplinary community team for adults with learning disabilities.



Our work includes individual therapy, group work, systemic working, indirect work, neuropsychological assessment, service development, leadership opportunities and training.



We are an innovative team and keen to develop the skills of our staff in areas they are passionate about. We also have close links with the Trent Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and we are a core placement for Trainee Clinical Psychologists, who are an important and valued part of our team.



We are also part of a strong and progressive Division of Psychology & Psychological Therapies, with dedicated psychology leadership and a vision to support all people in Derbyshire to live their best life. This means that there are a range of opportunities for support and supervision both within the learning disability team, and the wider division.



We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic psychologist who is motivated to work within the service and actively contribute to its ongoing development.



The successful candidate must have an enthusiasm and experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.



You will need to work flexibly both directly in clinical settings and through remote contact with clients, carers and colleagues.



You will need to be able to meet the travel requirements of the post and have access to a private and secure space for remote working practices.
