The successful applicant will work as part of a dynamic team supporting the continued development of partnership working and service change across services in South London. They will support the strategic and operational development of the Complex Care Pathway in the South London Partnership, as well as ensuring excellent clinical and quality outcomes for service users and their families in South London. The role offers an interesting opportunity to develop approaches and skills of working in both a provider and commissioner role.
The post would suit someone who has extensive experience of best practice relating to the care and treatment of those with Complex Emotional Needs. They will be an excellent communicator and able to build effective internal and external networks to ensure that pathways are efficient and consistent with the SLP aims. This role will suit an individual who has the drive and enthusiasm to support change and developing new frameworks for partnership working in a complex, dynamic environment.
To strategically lead and plan the psychology response and interventions for service users referred and supported by the SLP Complex Care Programme.
To develop eligibility criteria and intervention options (based on NICE Guidance and good practice) for those with Complex Emotional Needs for the Programme.
To act as an expert psychology clinical adviser on behalf of the Programme to staff requesting rehabilitation advice, promoting consistency across the three mental health trusts
To personally provide expert clinical consultation and formulation input for those referred to the Programme
To develop an innovative community response to treatment, piloting the use of personal health budgets to support people in treatment in the least restrictive setting.
To be responsible to the Clinical Director of Complex Care for the monitoring and review of patients with CEN in private placements commissioned by the service, monitoring their delivery of professional standards in the practice of applied psychology and psychotherapy
To give expert advice to the Clinical Assessment Team Reviewers when reviewing people commissioned by the Programme, chairing the Single Point of Access (SPA) (the gateway to access funding for 100% health only funded placements), and participate in SPA screening activities and reviews (within a trusted assessment process with rehabilitation inpatient unit colleagues)
