Role Summary



Due to some growth opportunities in the area, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Clinical Psychologist

with some background in

Medicalegal reporting

and current practice within the

NHS

. This role involves conducting psychological assessments for medico-legal purposes, preparing high-quality reports in line with industry standards, and contributing clinical expertise to support legal processes.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct psychological assessments for individuals involved in personal injury/clinical negligence claims. Prepare clear, concise, and compliant medico-legal reports. Apply NHS clinical experience to inform assessments and recommendations. Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR and clinical governance standards. Stay up to date with guidelines, legal frameworks, and best practices. Participate in peer reviews and quality assurance processes. Provide expert opinion when required for court proceedings or legal clarification.

Essential Criteria



HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist. Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience. Currently practicing within the NHS. Demonstrable experience producing CPR Part 35 compliant medico-legal reports. Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools and report writing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage caseloads efficiently.

Desirable Criteria



Experience giving expert witness testimony. Training in trauma-focused therapies (e.g., EMDR, CBT for PTSD). Familiarity with remote assessment tools and digital reporting platforms.
