Main duties of the job




When you join us, you can expect a thorough induction and enrolment onto a preceptorship programme (if applicable).



There are many opportunities for clinical professional development, peer support, and networking with colleagues. We have active groups of senior psychologists and psychological therapists, who meet regularly, providing a supportive network. There are varied opportunities for research, teaching, training, and service development; we are particularly keen to embed research into clinical practice and will support successful applicants to pursue research activities as well as special clinical interests.



There is a strong CPD culture and we will support you to develop psychological therapy skills in EMDR, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Mentalization Based Therapies, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Post-graduate doctorate degree (or its equivalent if trained prior to 1996) in clinical psychology, accredited by BPS (or on track to qualify this summer) Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) ####

Experience of work with complex & challenging behaviours & exercising clinical responsibility for psychological care & treatment. ####

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.


This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of 16 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
