TaxKings is a fast growing, cloud-based accountancy firm supporting landlords, limited companies, online businesses and entrepreneurs. We prioritise clear advice, smart processes and modern tools that genuinely help clients.

We're digital first and we don't cling to software for sentimental reasons. We use Slack, QuickBooks, Bright, Hammock, ChatGPT and whatever else makes sense. If a better option appears, we'll test it and move. The ground can feel like it's shifting, but always in a good direction.

The role

This is a hands-on role with leadership built in.

You will manage a portfolio in your strongest area and help lead the day to day standards, workflow and development of the team around you. You will also be part of how we roll out and improve MTD-ready services. We want someone who is comfortable explaining the value of this to clients and leading by example.

If you like solving problems before they become problems, you'll fit right in.

What you will be doing

Your responsibilities will be shaped around your strengths, but expect to be involved in:

Managing a client portfolio in accounts, VAT, personal tax or payroll Reviewing work and supporting junior team members Improving workflows and client processes Helping clients adopt cloud and MTD-friendly systems Using AI tools and modern apps to save time and improve accuracy Keeping deadlines calm, controlled and predictable
No audit. No paper-heavy nostalgia.

What you will bring

Solid UK practice experience Depth in at least one core area, accounts, VAT, personal tax or payroll Confidence working with cloud software A proactive mindset and comfort with change Clear communication with clients and colleagues Some experience mentoring, reviewing, or leading. Or a strong appetite to step into that
Qualifications are welcome, but attitude and capability matter more.
