Job summary




We are currently recruiting for a

Cloud Interoperability Architect

to work on a hybrid basis, two days per week from our HQ in Coventry and the remainder working remotely from home. Occasional travel to meetings & conferences across the UK will also be required.


This role is pivotal to leading a number of strategic industry data projects & systems, and will be a key part of delivering digital & data solutions for the agricultural industry. We are looking for a dynamic leader & hands-on architect who can engage and inspire both executive and junior level stakeholders to embrace strategic cross-industry digital & data solutions. You will work with our teams to develop and execute a comprehensive convergence architecture that aligns with our goals and objectives.

Job description



Develop and execute a comprehensive convergence architecture, initially targeted around the one or two key cross-industry AHDB digital projects, that align with AHDB's overall goals and objectives Work as part of a small specialist team leading a high profile AHDB & Industry data project Manage a technical delivery team of engineers and analysts, allocating resources effectively to support the overall aims Work with wider teams to develop architectures, designs & delivery approaches Lead technical workshops and technical stakeholder working groups Develop comprehensive requirement sets and design artefacts Be a key part of a cultural shift towards improved collaboration and codesign across the industry Build relationships with key technical stakeholders across the industry Engage and inspire individuals and teams to embrace strategic data projects and data sharing across the industry Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with external organisations, technology stakeholders, and industry leaders to service AHDB's wider goals & objectives ###

Person specification



Degree in a relevant field or significant experience in similar roles, with a proven track record of successfully leading technical delivery & architecture initiatives Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage AHDB staff and external stakeholders at all levels Experience with more than one commercial cloud provider, ideally AWS and Azure, along with experience in: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, driving engagement and fostering innovation & collaboration Strategic thinker with the ability to translate technology delivery for a broad range of audiences Knowledge of the agricultural industry would be useful although not essential
