We are seeking an experienced

Cloud Computing & DevOps Tutor

to train and mentor aspiring professionals in cloud infrastructure, automation, and modern DevOps practices -- with a strong focus on hands-on labs and simulated work experience.

Role Overview



As a Cloud Computing & DevOps Tutor, you will deliver practical instruction in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, containerization, infrastructure as code). You'll also guide learners through

job-simulated projects

, helping them build real-world experience they can showcase on their CV and GitHub.

You'll support learners with technical coaching, project review, and soft skill development to help them transition into roles such as Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).

Key Responsibilities



Deliver engaging lessons in: Cloud architecture fundamentals (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Compute, storage, networking, IAM, and monitoring services CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) Docker and Kubernetes Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) Linux administration and scripting (Bash/Python) Monitoring, logging, and incident response practices Guide students through

cloud-based and DevOps-focused project work

, simulating real job tasks. Help learners deploy applications to cloud platforms, automate workflows, and secure infrastructure. Assist in creating GitHub portfolios and documenting DevOps pipelines, cloud setups, and deployment strategies. Support learners with 1:1 mentoring, technical feedback, and readiness for DevOps/cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Administrator, Terraform Associate). Collaborate with curriculum designers to maintain course relevance to evolving industry standards.

Requirements



Proven experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices Proficiency in at least one IaC tool (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD tools Experience with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Comfortable teaching Linux, Bash scripting, cloud security best practices, and automation Strong mentoring, teaching, or coaching experience (formal or informal) Excellent communication and student support skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field -- or equivalent industry experience
Preferred

Industry certifications (e.g., AWS SAA, Azure AZ-104, Terraform Associate) Experience with cloud-native tools and microservices architecture Familiarity with GitOps, Helm, or advanced Kubernetes topics Ability to mentor students in agile DevOps practices and incident response simulations
