The Technical Leader is a pivotal figure in the organisation, working with the Application Architect to set and steer the technical direction and strategy for software development projects. They play a crucial part in many areas of the development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that meets business objectives. The Technical Leader is responsible for mentoring development teams, driving innovation, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability, whilst ensuring that knowledge transfer in their chosen domain happens in a timely and efficient manner.

Main Duties
The main duties for this role holder are:
Work with the Application Architect to define the technical vision and strategy for software development projects.
Work within their expert domain to foster a learning culture and lead and mentor development teams, ensuring efficient and effective knowledge transfer and collaboration.
Oversee the design and implementation of software architectures and solutions.
Work with their QA colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality software within established timelines and budgets.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in development practices and technologies.
Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals.
Lead, mentor and develop the technical skills of team members.
Manage technical risks and ensure robust security and performance of software solutions.
