Job Summary



We are seeking a precise and motivated

CMM Inspector (Coordinate Measuring Machine Inspector)

to join our quality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection of products using

CMM technology and other inspection methods

to meet customer and industry standards, including

AS9100

requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who value accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement within a high-performance engineering environment. Duties



Calibrate

CMM probes

as required for each inspection. Set up work-holding and fixtures in accordance with approved procedures. Read and interpret

CMM inspection reports

, manual inspection results, and engineering drawings/models to ensure compliance with customer requirements. Execute

CMM programs

and complete full review and sign-off of inspection reports. Use

alternative inspection methods

to verify any features not measurable by CMM. Communicate inspection results, progress, and issues effectively with

Quality, Engineering, and Operations

teams. Operate all CMMs within the facility confidently and efficiently. Manage simultaneous operation of

2-3 CMMs

during a shift, maintaining at least

70% OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency)

. Assist in determining and scheduling CMM inspection priorities to ensure timely delivery of internal and external customer requirements. Support

quality calibration activities

requiring CMM inspection. Participate actively in

continuous improvement

,

Lean initiatives

, and projects supporting the company's

SC21 Gold Status

. Adhere to all

company values, policies, and Health & Safety procedures

in daily operations. Engage in ongoing

training and personal development

through the company's appraisal system. Undertake additional duties and flexible working hours, including shift work and overtime, as required by the business.

Skills



Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to interpret technical drawings, models, and engineering specifications (training provided if required). Effective communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams. Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn CMM programming and inspection software. Organised and methodical approach to work, with strong problem-solving skills. Commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining high-quality standards.

15% bonus

Evenings (4pm - 12am):

20% bonus
