Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating press brake machinery to fabricate and shape sheet metal components. This role is essential in ensuring the production of high-quality parts that meet our stringent specifications.

Duties

Operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications. Perform fabrication tasks including cutting, grinding, and welding as required. Utilise hand tools and tooling effectively for assembly and adjustment of components. Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals while maintaining quality control throughout the process. Apply basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations necessary for precise fabrication tasks. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Proven experience in fabrication processes, particularly with sheet metal work. Familiarity with grinding, welding, and other relevant mechanical skills is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Experience using hand tools and tooling specific to press brake operations.
