We are seeking a skilled, experienced CNC Laser Operator to join our dynamic team in a growing business having recently been acquired by a large international group.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fabrication processes and have experience with laser cutting technology, preferably Amada equipment (Laser / Punch machinery). This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality components, maintaining a consistent flow of work for all aspects of the business and it requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety.
Duties
Operate and maintain Amada laser cutting machines to produce precision parts from sheet metal, one machine w/ Loading System
Conduct fabrication tasks, including grinding, welding, and assembly of components as and when required.
Utilise hand tools and tooling effectively to ensure accurate measurements and cuts.
Perform routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
Collaborate with team leaders to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Apply basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during the production process.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Any reasonable request as and when required within the workshop
Requirements
Proven experience in fabrication, particularly with sheet metal processes.
Experience of using Amada CO2 Cutting machines (Ideal)
Experience of using Amada Punching machines (Desirable)
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues (Desirable)
Familiarity with welding techniques and grinding processes
Proficient in using hand tools and tooling necessary for production tasks.
Competent mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Working hours of 07.00 - 17.15 compressed into a 4-day working week (Mon-Thurs), fixed at 39 hours with occasional voluntary overtime available
