Your Role
As a CNC Lathe Machinist you will craft exotic metals in to high performance sealing solutions, fasteners and bolted joints. At James Walker Bingley we are always evolving, with new machinery to meet our clients demands, full machine training will be provided. You will sharpen your craftsmanship in an environment focusing on small batch bespoke manufacturing. No more shifts, our working hours are Monday to Thursday 07;00 - 16;00 Friday 07;00 - 13;00.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the fulfillment of production schedule on a daily basis.
Use your machinist skills to deliver a product that meets the desired customer and James Walker quality standard to ensure right first time.
Manufacture to works orders requirement.
Work with and develop effective relationships with all the James Walker Bingley functions to achieve the desired level of competency.
Assist the production team in developing strong links with manufacturing disciplines, to become a two-way path in establishing clear processes that deliver manufacturing goals/objectives.
Strive for innovative solutions and continuous improvements in all areas of your role and fully support all continuous improvement activities to ensure the company achieves its goals for operational excellence.
About you
Preferred Skill & Experience
Knowledge of engineering processes or demonstrable ability to learn.
Experience of working with super alloy components i.e. Inconel 625, 825 and 718
Experience of 6S standard
Experience of using driven tooling on Siemens and Mazatrol.
Siemens, Mazatrol, Fanuc and Philips machine controls.
Machining thin walled components
Previous experience of working to tight tolerances and manufacturing products to achieve quality specifications.
Essential Skill & Experience
Experience of operating CNC lathes machines up to 30 inch/760mm diameter.
Dexterity and mechanical aptitude
Be able to demonstrate knowledge of imperial and metric measurements.
Be able to use and identify measuring equipment to verify your own product before submitting to quality control.
Strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and be detail oriented, flexible and self-motivated.
Experience of operating CNC lathe machines
