Job Purpose
As a leading anti-pressure care manufacturing company, we are looking for a Foam Cutter with band knife and CNC machine operating experience, to join our company in Keighley.
As a Foam Cutter, you will be required to read production drawings, set up and operate the foam cutting machinery, cut foam and receive, handle, store and move foam blocks and other materials from the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
Reading production drawings
Select and set up materials for the correct machine
Setting up the foam cutting machinery to achieve the most efficient and best results
Load and unload foam from the machines
Operating the band knife and CNC machinery, to cut and shape foam blocks for the manufacturing of medical and comfort products
Visually inspecting products to detailed technical drawings and specifications
Verifying product conformity
Present foam ready for covering in bulk quantities and for special one-off products
Complete manufacturing records
Machine maintenance - maintain, clean and look after the equipment
Support the replacement of worn tooling as required
Work within guidelines/instructions
Work as part of a team
Personal Specification:
Experience of setting up and operating band knife and CNC machinery for foam cutting
Have good visual spatial skills to be able to determine the most efficient use of foam when following production drawings
Ability to work and read from production drawings
Good numerical skills
Ability to measure accurately in both metric and imperial units with relevant measuring equipment
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
Good knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies
Ideally have a current fork-lift licence
Ideally have CAD software experience
Ability to maintain, clean and look after the equipment
Excellent attention to detail as accuracy is essential
Ability to work to deadlines
Ability to work unsupervised and independently whilst working as part of a team
Practical, hardworking and confident
Self-motivated and driven
Ability to multi task
Effective team worker with good communication skills
Efficient with good time keeping and sickness record
Ability to be flexible and dedicated in an innovative and expanding company
