The Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable
CNC Operator
to join our dynamic team in the fenestration industry. on the
afternoon
shift Monday to Friday
2.00pm - 10.00pm.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for precision manufacturing. You'll play a critical part in the fabrication of high-quality uPVC windows, using state-of-the-art CNC machinery.
What You'll Be Doing
Operate and maintain CNC machines used in the fabrication of aluminium and uPVC fenestration components.
Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and CAD files.
Ensure all components are produced to the highest standard, with minimal waste.
Monitor production processes and carry out quality control checks.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and the production planning team to ensure workflow efficiency
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Proven experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with fenestration products (windows, doors, etc.).
Basic mechanical and technical problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Good understanding of Safe Systems of Work
Desirable:
Experience with Shirmer and Stuga or similar CNC systems used in the fenestration with be an advantage.
Forklift licence or other factory equipment training.
