Job Summary

We are on the lookout for a proactive, detail-driven Team Leader to take charge of our Metal Prep Department, playing a crucial role in delivering high-quality, right-first-time components to the next stage of production.

This role is about owning the process, motivating a skilled team, and ensuring everything runs like clockwork. If you are someone who thrives on getting things right, solving problems, and can keep a busy department moving smoothly, we want to hear from you.

What you will be doing:

Keeping the department running efficiently and on schedule, ensuring all jobs are completed accurately and passed on in time.

Leading the team with clear communication, making sure everyone knows what needs doing and when.

Checking parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring everything is correctly labelled before moving to the next stage.

Monitoring job bookings and machine assignments to keep things on track.

Troubleshooting issues as they arise, keeping downtime to a minimum and being proactive on escalations.

Collaborating with Engineering and other departments to resolve queries raised by the team.

Running your own machine - flatbed laser/tube laser

What we are looking for:

A confident people-person with team leadership or supervisory experience, you will know how to get the best out of others.

A methodical approach with great attention to detail, taking pride in getting things right.

An enthusiastic, fast learner who enjoys taking initiative.

Comfortable reading and working from engineering drawings.

A hands-on, can-do attitude with a solid work ethic.

Experience in CNC machining or laser cutting is required
