Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and programming CNC machines to produce precision components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to work with various materials. The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to machine components as per engineering drawings. Program CNC machines using CAD software such as SolidWorks to create precise specifications. Conduct regular maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Assemble components and perform quality checks using hand tools and measuring instruments. Handle materials safely and efficiently within the workshop environment. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes. Maintain accurate records of production output and machine settings.

Skills

Experience in running a 4th Axis VMC and CNC Lathe would be ideal. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery. Familiarity with FANUC & Heidenhain controllers and their applications in CNC machining. Competence in materials handling, ensuring safe practices are followed at all times. Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations during machining processes. Experience with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is highly advantageous. Ability to work effectively in a factory setting, demonstrating organisational skills.
