Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic joinery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge and experience in operating 5 axis CNC Machinery for manufacturing components in both solid timber and sheet materials.

Duties

Operate 5 axis CNC machine to fabricate parts according to technical drawings and specifications. Set up tooling and fixtures for machining operations, ensuring proper alignment and calibration. Assemble components as required, adhering to quality standards and production schedules. Perform materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading materials from machines. Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Utilise CAD software for programming and design modifications as necessary. Troubleshoot issues with machinery or tooling, applying logical reasoning to resolve problems efficiently. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role within a joinery manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using tools and understanding of tooling requirements for various machining processes. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to produce and read CAD drawings Experience with Biesse BSoft software is advantageous. Knowledge of materials handling practices is preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
We work a 4 day week, Monday - Thursday 8am - 5:30pm

Salary dependant on experience, attitude and level of demonstrable skill

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 32,000.00-40,000.00 per year
