CNC Machinist - Turner

DAYS & HOURS OF WORK 4-day week working (38 hours per week)

Shift A Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 16:00 OR
Shift B Monday to Thursday 06:30 - 16:30

The company is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist (Turner) to come and join us at our brand new facility located in Coventry.

JOB PURPOSE

The main purpose of the CNC Machinist (Turner) is to machine components ensuring they comply to the manufacturing drawing / approved documentation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Setting and operating CNC Lathes (Fanuc/ G-Code) Generate CNC machine programmes. Read engineering drawings and understand the specifications and tolerancing. Assist or instruct other operatives with set ups tooling and cutting details as necessary in order to get the best benefit from programmes Wherever possible, identify and obtain tooling, fixtures, and machine programme requirements for jobs in advance of starting the job in order to reduce spindle stop time. Ensure that routine maintenance (lubrication, cutting fluid, machine cleaning etc) tasks are carried out at the required frequencies.

It is essential to understand and read G codes

Have relevant and proven experience as a Turner on the same or similar machines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.29-15.79 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
