We're seeking a Multi-Skilled CNC Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our established maintenance team at our Huncoat site. This is a hands-on, technically varied role maintaining a wide range of CNC, automated, and production machinery, ensuring reliability and performance across our manufacturing operations.
The Role:
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on CNC, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
Conduct periodic electrical maintenance checks to eliminate downtime.
Diagnose and repair faults across CNC systems, electrical controls, drives, and automation hardware.
Work on equipment from leading manufacturers such as Biesse, MZ, SMC, and Siemens.
Implementing improvements to machine reliability and productivity.
Investigating electrical equipment breakdowns and monitoring performance of equipment after repairs have been completed.
Completing all required documentation to ensure the capture of all faults, parts, solutions, and historical data.
Liaise with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operation.
Ability to work on mechanical equipment.
The Person:
Qualified to HNC Level (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
Proven experience working on CNC machinery and automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
Essential previous experience in manufacturing environments.
Skilled in electrical fault finding, drives, sensors, PLCs, and control systems (Siemens, Fanuc, etc.).
A proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail and a focus on improvement.
Positive, can-do attitude and team oriented.
Clear and efficient communication skills.
Proficient with IT systems and tools.
