Classic Car CNC Miller Required

  • Monday - Friday 38.75 hours per week
  • \xc2\xa319 per hour

Our client, a well-known independent vehicle restoration business who have been trading and representing one of Britain\'s most Iconic brands for over 25 years, based in the Hampshire area are currently seeking an experienced Automotive CNC Miller with Heidenhain control experience to join their engineering department for their world renowned classic car business operation.

Our client covers a multitude of widely varying work from general servicing, repairs and upgrades, race, international rally, event preparation and race support to full restorations. Our client would be interested in hearing from candidates with experience in Heidenhain controls; CAD and offline programming experience would be beneficial and who are able to take ownership of issues with a proactive, can do attitude to find solutions.

Our clients bespoke Automotive specialisms are:
  • Workshop Specialising in servicing, updates, restoring and rally preparation
  • Parts manufacture and supply (worlds largest stock holding)
  • Vehicle sourcing and sales
  • Motorsport Event preparation and delivery
This role would suit somebody with an interest in historic vehicles or racing and race prep-ideally with some mechanical engineering understanding.

As a CNC Miller for our client your day to day duties will include:
  • Production of components on a 3 axis CNC milling machine, including work from forgings & castings. Setting & programming both at the control and offline using CAMWorks
  • Completion of workshop data to include setting sheets for new products and works order route cards.
  • Support the fitting & assembly department when required; using manual milling, turning, surface grinding & bench fitting skills.
  • Ensure maximum usage and output from the milling section; to achieve set deadlines supporting both customer deliveries and vehicle builds
  • Inspection of own work at the machine; and other\'s work. Previous CMM experience would be advantageous but training can be given.
  • Operate other production machines as directed
  • Carry out general workshop duties as directed (unloading, storing and cutting material, deburring and hand finishing where required)
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and complete all necessary production control records (timesheets, inspection records etc)
Salary
  • For the successful CNC Miller our client is looking to offer a salary around \xc2\xa338,285 dependent on experience and skills.
Tools
  • All tools and equipment supplied.
Hours
  • The working hours are Monday - Friday with 1 hour lunch and 30 minute tea breaks either side. Please note our client offers early finishes on Friday for a better work life balance.
