Job Description
Cowie Engineering are recruiting for a Time Served CNC Miller - Programmer, Setter, Operator.
We are a subcontract precision engineering company based in Cumbernauld, Glasgow specialising in the manufacture of metal and composite components for a large range of industries.
The role is to produce high quality components from a variety of materials in a timely and safe manner whilst meeting all drawing and customer specifications.
To be considered for this role you should have experience and skills in:
- Operation of 3, 4 or 5 axis vertical machining centre (Hurco preferred)
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Create, read and understand CNC programs (conversational an advantage)
- Knowledge of tooling and appropriate cutting conditions
- Working within a high precision environment to tight tolerances
- Manufacturing from a range of materials from composites through to high temperature alloys
- Working with minimum supervision
Working Conditions:
- 39 hours per week
- Excellent rates of pay (negotiable dependent on experience) + overtime
