Job Title: CNC Miller Machinist (Afternoon Shift)

Salary: 32,488 - 34,476 per annum (including shift allowance)

Location: Leicester

Hours: 2:00pm - 10:00pm (Starting on day shift for training)

Peopletech Recruitment are currently seeking a skilled

CNC Miller Machinist

with experience in setting and operating

3-axis milling machines

for a reputable manufacturing business offering long-term career stability and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Set and operate

3-axis CNC milling machines

to produce precision components. Select and set up appropriate tooling and machine offsets. Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure components are machined to exact specifications. Conduct first-off and in-process quality checks using standard measuring equipment. Work to tight tolerances while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure all health & safety procedures and housekeeping standards are followed.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years' experience

setting and operating

3-axis CNC milling machines. Ability to read and interpret

engineering drawings and technical instructions

. Proficient in the use of

hand tools

and measuring instruments (e.g. verniers, micrometers, gauges). Strong understanding of machining best practices and material characteristics. Team-oriented with good communication skills and a proactive attitude. Comfortable working the 2pm-10pm shift following an initial training period on days.
