We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining CNC programmes to ensure precise and efficient production of components. Duties
Develop and optimise CNC programmes using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and other relevant tools.
Set up and operate CNC milling machines, ensuring accurate machining of parts according to specifications.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to produce precise components.
Adjust programmes as necessary to improve efficiency or accommodate design changes.
Conduct regular testing and troubleshooting of CNC programmes to maintain optimal machine performance.
Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure materials handling, tooling, and assembly processes are aligned with production goals.
Maintain documentation of programmes, modifications, and production data for quality assurance purposes.
Assist with mechanical tasks using hand tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools when required.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Experience
Proven experience in CNC programming within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Strong knowledge of milling processes, tooling selection, and materials handling.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks along with CAM software for programme development.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous.
Mechanical knowledge including assembly, welding, and the use of hand tools.
Basic maths skills for interpreting technical drawings and calculating dimensions or tolerances.
Experience working in warehouse settings or in roles involving materials management is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies or procedures.
