CNC Miller Setter/Operator

Are you an experienced CNC Miller Setter/Operator looking to join a forward-thinking engineering manufacturer? Our client, a leading precision engineering business with an excellent reputation for quality and innovation, is expanding its production team and is seeking a skilled individual to help drive performance on the shop floor.

The Role

As a CNC Miller Setter/Operator, you will play a key part in machining precision components to exact specifications. You'll be responsible for setting, operating and adjusting CNC milling machines, ensuring parts are produced accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC milling machines safely, efficiently, and in line with production targets Interpret and work from route cards and technical drawings Perform offsets, tooling adjustments and cutting tip changes as required Carry out in-process quality checks using appropriate measuring equipment Maintain accurate production documentation and update relevant systems Support 5S, TPM and continuous improvement activities on the shop floor Collaborate effectively with colleagues across production and engineering Train and mentor junior operators when required

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous CNC milling setting & operating experience Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment Basic IT literacy GCSE-level Maths & English (or equivalent)
