27,500 - 32,500 a year (Plus shift premiums) / 39 Hour Monday to Friday
Early Shift: 06.00-15.00 Mon-Thurs / 06.00-11.00 Fri (+10% shift premium)
Late Shift: 15.00-01.30 Mon-Weds, 15.00-12.30 Thurs (+20% shift premium)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an apprentice trained CNC Miller to join our Aerospace machine shop.
Operating multi axis / multi spindle mill/turn centres with Fanuc/Mitsubishi based controls.
Producing high quality/ high precision aerospace components from a range of materials including Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Inconel and Titanium.
Responsibilities:
Produce high quality aerospace components to desired customer specifications in a timely manner according to the production plan.
Self-check of parts produced, in accordance with in process inspection plans.
Communicate efficiently with colleagues and team leaders to ensure effective flow of works orders through department
Maintain a tidy and safe working area.
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in translating manufacturing routes.
Able to read engineering drawings
Basic computer skills (machine shop consumables despatched by pc based vend system).
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
Desirable requirements:
Apprentice trained, ideally to level 3 or above Mechanical engineering/manufacture.
3 years' experience or more in a similar sector would be desirable, but is not essential for the right candidate.
