Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join their team in Bristol. Have you worked with McBraida, Rota Val LTD, Rolls Royce, or similar precision engineering firms? If so, this could be the next challenge for you.

We are a well-established precision engineering company, supplying bespoke solutions to the aerospace, defence, nuclear, medical, and automotive sectors for over 50 years. Based in Bristol, we pride ourselves on quality, precision, and delivering for our clients.
What Youll Do:

• Work independently on alternate early and late shifts (see rota below)
• Programme and operate 3-axis VM20i and 5-axis VMX30Ui Hurco CNC Mills
• Carry out conventional programming in WinMax and work from DXF files
• Use Fusion 360 CAD/CAM for NC programming
• Machine aluminium, plastics, and free issue parts
• Manage tools and set-ups efficiently
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Maintain high standards of engineering hygiene and detail

What Were Looking For:

• Strong CNC operating experience, ideally with Hurco Mills
• Confident programming in WinMax and Fusion 360
• Skilled in machining aluminium and plastics
• Able to read technical drawings and manage set-ups
• Reliable, punctual, organised, and a good communicator
• High attention to detail

Desirable:

• Aberlink CMM programming experience
• Experience with CO2 and Fibre laser operation

Shift Pattern:
Hours: Alternate early and late shifts, every other Friday off

• Early Shift: Monday Thursday (06:00 15:00), Friday (06:00 17:30)
• Late Shift: Monday Thursday (13:30 22:45), Friday OFF
• Every other Friday off

Holiday: 25 days plus 8 bank holidays
Salary: 340,000 345,000 per annum (depending on experience and including late shift allowance)
