Job Title: CNC Turning and Mill/Turn Machine Operator

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly experienced CNC Turning and Mill/Turn Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC turning and mill/turn machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. The CNC Turning and Mill/Turn Machine Operator must possess extensive experience, a strong understanding of machining processes, be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Machine Setup:

Set up CNC turning and mill/turn machines by installing and adjusting cutting tools, fixtures, and workpieces according to job specifications.

Operation:

Operate CNC turning and mill/turn machines to perform a variety of machining operations such as turning, milling, drilling, tapping, and boring to produce parts within specified tolerances and surface finishes.

Monitoring:

Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and productivity.

Quality Control:

Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications.

Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC turning and mill/turn machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and troubleshoot issues with CNC turning and mill/turn machines, such as tool wear, machine malfunctions, or programming errors, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine setup sheets, tooling logs, and inspection reports.

Safety:

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements:

Experience:

Experience operating CNC turning or mill/turn machines in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Knowledge:

Solid understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and machining parameters.

Attention to Detail:

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship to produce high-quality parts.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments to ensure smooth operations.

Communication:

Good verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training in machining is preferred.

Working Hours:

The working hours for this position are 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in CNC machining or related field. Experience with specific CNC turning and mill/turn machines. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Pay: 15.00-19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
