Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain CNC machinery to cut and shape a wide range of materials.
Work directly from CAD files and production drawings to ensure precision.
Select materials and appropriate machining techniques for each project.
Perform quality checks and adjustments to ensure high standards.
Collaborate with designers and makers across workshop projects.
Help maintain a clean, organised and safe CNC area and general workshop space.
Requirements:
Proven experience operating CNC routers or similar equipment.
Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files.
Knowledge of CAM software such as VCarve, Fusion 360, or similar.
Hands-on familiarity with working in wood, metal, plastics, or similar materials.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
Experience in digital fabrication or prototyping.
Understanding of tooling, feed rates, and material behaviour.
Experience with other machinery or workshop processes (e.g. assembly, finishing).
Forklift or lifting equipment certification (if relevant).
