Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. The CNC Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

Operate CNC machines, including mills and lathes, to fabricate parts according to specifications. Interpret Engineering drawings and technical documents to understand production requirements. Set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes. Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance. Conduct quality checks on finished products using precision measuring tools. Handle materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse environment. Troubleshoot issues with machinery and make necessary adjustments. Maintain a clean and organised workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of CNC operations. Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments. Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in CNC machinery. Basic maths skills for precise calculations related to machining processes. Experience with materials handling in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Ability to fabricate components using various machining techniques. Knowledge of tooling requirements for different machining operations. Multi axis CNC machining experience
