As part of our continuing expansion, we have the opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer and Operator to join our team as we continue to invest in and grow our production capabilities. The successful applicant will have hands-on experience in CNC machine operation and programming, preferably within a joinery, set-building, or manufacturing environment. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting and possess a meticulous eye for detail.

Duties
Programming and operation of CNC routers to manufacture scenic, staging, and bespoke components
Working with CAD drawings to generate precise toolpaths and ensure accurate fabrication
Routine maintenance and setup of CNC machinery, tools, and software
Material preparation, handling, and finishing of CNC-machined components
Assisting with the integration of CNC parts into wider scenic builds
Organisation and upkeep of CNC tooling, equipment, and workshop areas
Quality control of CNC output to maintain consistently high standards
Supporting stock management and the efficient storage of CNC-related materials
Collaboration with the wider scenic team and other departments as project needs dictate
Complying with company health & safety procedures
Assisting other departments where required to meet business demands
Qualifications And Key Attributes Of The Candidate
Proven experience in CNC programming and operation (preferably with 3-axis routers)
Familiarity with CAM software (e.g., Fusion 360 or VCarve) essential
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, or Vectorworks) advantageous
Solid understanding of material types including plywood, MDF, plastics, and composites
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and consistency
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
Flexibility and a proactive, can-do approach
Excellent timekeeping and reliability
Keen eye for detail and high standards of finish
Full UK Driving Licence and own transport desirable
