We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer and Operator to join our team. As a CNC Programmer and Operator you will be responsible for creating CNC programs, and setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, safety, maintain high quality standards and meet production deadlines and overall business objectives.

MAIN TASKS

1. Interpret technical drawings and CAD models.

2. Develop and optimise CNC programs.

3. Determine appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, and cutting paths.

4. Simulate programs to identify and resolve potential issues before production.

5. Set up and calibrate CNC machines, including tool selection and part alignment.

6. Load raw materials and monitor machine operation throughout the production cycle.

7. Perform first-part inspections and make necessary adjustments.

8. Conduct in-process quality checks using micrometers, callipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.

9. Perform basic machine maintenance and be proactive in resolving any machinery issues, escalating to the relevant department as required to minimise unplanned downtime.

10. Report any machine malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors promptly.

11. Comply to all health and safety standards and ensure a clean and organised work area including machinery and surrounding areas.
