Multi Axis CNC Programmer.

A family owned and run manufacturing facility based in Sheffield. The Company is well established and manufactures components in exotic materials for many Key Industries. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and progressive company with key benefits for the right candidate.

Due to continual investment they have a vacancy for an experienced CNC Programmer, the successful candidate will have multi axis experience on both Turning and Milling machines. It is essential that applicants have a solid background in machine shop practices, well-developed skills in programming and methods of manufacture.

Duties

Knowledge of writing CNC program's with and without utilizing programming software. Create/write robust CNC programs and tooling sheets for machine shop, before production commences. Maintain the proven CNC program database at all times with matching the revisions of programs against the drawings. Work with our suppliers to maintain and identify tooling requirements. Design jigs and fixtures to aid manufacture. Provide a level of engineering support for production staff both in the operation of first off and production runs. Actively participate in our Health and Safety culture at all times, adhering to our HS requirements

Ideal Candidate

Minimum 5 years relevant Fanuc experience. Knowledge/experience in programming live tools, using 'Y' axis and Polar milling techniques. Knowledge/experience in programming 3, 4 and 5 axis milling machines. Troubleshooting of manufacturing problems associated with CNC machining. Fully conversant with cutting tool philosophies and techniques. Must have knowledge of processes and tooling for machining of high temperature alloys. Strong understanding of quality based processes and standards. Demonstrate a full commitment to work closely to all relevant staff
