We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming CNC machines and a passion for precision engineering. This role involves working with various materials and utilising advanced technology to fabricate components that meet high-quality standards. The successful applicant will demonstrate mechanical knowledge and the ability to work both alone and as part of a team, effectively, in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Produce and develop CNC programmes for milling processes.
Setting up CNC machines.
Consistently operate multiple CNC machines at once, adhering to quality standards.
Utilise hand tools and equipment for assembly and materials handling tasks.
Conduct regular maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with the team to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with team to support and plan to ensure targets are being met.
Perform quality checks on finished products, using basic maths to measure dimensions accurately.
Troubleshoot issues with machinery and programming as needed.
Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly.
Skills
Proficient using Mastercam
Proficient using Fanuc controls
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in operating mills (and lathes but not essential).
Must be confident working with various materials, including Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Copper and Plastic.
Ability to assemble components accurately using hand tools.
Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
Must be able to work as a team and support other areas of the business where needed.
Must be eligible to work in the UK
