Overview

We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various saws and hand tools. This role is crucial in ensuring the precise cutting and fabrication of materials to meet production specifications.

Duties

Operate saws and other cutting equipment to cut materials according to specifications. Assemble components as required, ensuring accuracy and quality in all finished products. Fabricate surfaces from Granite and Quartz, following detailed drawings and instructions. Use hand tools effectively for grinding and finishing tasks. Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and minor repairs as necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Keep work area clean and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proficient in basic maths for accurate measurements and calculations. Familiarity with hand tools and their proper use in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately. Previous experience in a similar role or industry is preferred but not mandatory. A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety at all times.
