Main Purpose and Scope of Job

We have an exciting opportunity for a

CNC Setter/Operator (Milling)

to join our team. In this role, you would be responsible for creating technical components and machined parts according to customer and drawing specifications by setting and operating CNC machines.

Within this role you will report directly to the Production Manager.

Key accountabilities

Setting and operating CNC Milling Machines within our Aerospace department. Setting, cutting and identifying materials, maximising stock utilisation and minimising scrap. Ensuring full conformance to all the identified order requirements. Ensuring our computer-based stock control system and supporting documentation is maintained in line with quality standards and procedures. Supporting to train other operators as and when required. Promoting continuous improvement to maximise stock productivity and minimise waste.

Knowledge Required

Knowledge of raw materials. Knowledge of machine set-up and cutting. Understanding of material handling

Qualifications and Experience

Ability to read and understand a cutting pattern to maximise stock and minimise waste. PC Literate.
