We're now looking for an experienced and driven
Production Team Leader
to join their expanding operation -- someone who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment, can lead from the front, and take pride in helping deliver world-class components.
The Role & Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and support a skilled production team to achieve daily targets
Drive quality, efficiency and right-first-time manufacturing in line with production schedules
Report daily and weekly KPIs, highlighting any challenges or support needs to management
Ensure all production documentation meets required quality and compliance standards
Support and coach apprentices and new starters -- sharing knowledge and developing skills across the team
Conduct return-to-work meetings, appraisals, and approve holidays and timesheets
Identify and resolve production issues quickly and effectively, driving continuous improvement
Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment
Promote health, safety and environmental best practice at all times
Communicate effectively with other departments to keep production running smoothly
The Person
Apprentice-trained or time-served engineer --
essential
Experience leading or supervising a small team in a manufacturing environment --
essential
Strong understanding of CNC machining, milling and turning processes --
desirable
Familiarity with
Siemens or FANUC
controls --
advantageous
Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
Confident, proactive and able to work under pressure
Working Hours & Overtime
2-shift rotation (3-week pattern):
06:00 - 18:00 (Days)
18:00 - 06:00 (Nights)
Overtime rates:
x1.3 weekdays
x1.5 Saturdays
x2 Sundays
