CNC Turner: 2 Axis CNC Turning - Late shift - Permanent

Salary: Depending on Experience Range 32k-38k per annum flat rate - (however night shift premium is time plus one third).

Are you an experienced CNC Turner looking to work for a more established local manufacturing business? Do you have a passion for precision engineering, an excellent understanding of the turning process and can work to tight tolerances and surface finishes? Hone-All is a long-established business that specialises in the manufacture of low volume, high quality, tubular and threaded components for various sectors including Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Defence industries and due to continuous expansion, we are actively hiring for an experienced CNC Turner as are looking to expand our engineering team.

Experience Required

Proven time served experience in programming, setting and operating 2 axis turning machines.

Ability to write new CNC programs long hand at the machine with little or no supervision.

Experience programming using 'Manual Guide i' software.

Experience programming using G codes.

Also, editing prewritten programs, the full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, feeds.

Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment.

Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals.

Excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances.

Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards.

Experience of Fanuc controls would be advantageous.

Have a strong working history within the manufacturing industry within a machine shop environment.

Have a hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner in order to be able to hit the ground running.

Confident in working on parts up to 300mm x 3m in length, using lifting equipment provided is preferred as some of our work can be large. Hoist training will be provided.

Package and Benefits:

Salary depending on experience. Range 32-38k per annum flat rate, however late shift premium is time plus a third.

The position is full-time and permanent, and an immediate start is available.

Hours are Monday - Wednesday 4.30pm - 3.30am, Thursday 4.30pm - 1.30am.

Holidays are 28 days including Bank Holidays + extra bonus holiday over the Christmas Period to ensure a full shutdown.
