Job Description

Metallic Elephant is a leading manufacturer of hot foil printing presses and hot foil dies. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a CNC Workshop Assistant at our manufacturing centre based in the beautiful Essex countryside, just outside Colchester.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience of working with their hands. The CNC Workshop Assistant will work closely with our CNC operators and production team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist CNC operators in setting up and operating CNC machines

- Load and unload materials into CNC machines

- Monitor machines during operation and make adjustments as needed

- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards

- Maintain and clean machines and work area

- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines

- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues

- Keep track of inventory

- Follow all safety procedures and regulations

- Assist with other tasks as assigned by workshop manager or supervisor

Qualifications:

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards

- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
