Job Title: Packaging / Workshop Assistant

Location: Westbury, Wiltshire

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: 10 - 12.21 per hour

Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm)

Western Sign Systems is a specialist signage manufacturer based in Westbury, Wiltshire. We produce a wide range of signs--from simple door plaques to large, illuminated monolith signs up to 4 metres high. As a small, skilled team, we take pride in our work and the variety of projects we undertake.

Job Summary

We're currently looking for a

Packaging / Workshop Assistant

to support our busy production workshop. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone reliable, practical, and eager to learn new skills in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with general workshop duties Packaging of signage for delivery or dispatch Support the manufacture of signage as required Unpacking and inspecting deliveries and incoming goods Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop Carry out routine equipment cleaning and upkeep

Ability to follow written instructions accurately Basic numeracy and measuring skills Strong attention to detail A proactive, can-do attitude Willingness to learn and adapt to a varied workload

Requirements

Full-time availability (40 hours per week) National Minimum Wage applicable (with potential to rise based on performance and experience) 3-month probationary period Safety boots, glasses, and other PPE will be provided
