What will you be doing?




The

Coach Learning & Development Officer

plays a pivotal role in supporting the new coaching pathways for British Cycling. As part of the Learning Development team, you will help create a range of learning opportunities. You'll take the initiative, innovating and proactively leading on the creation of programmes and products:


Using the most appropriate formats of digital learning, face to face and blended approaches.


Creating qualification and assessment specifications, and delivery, assessment and resources.


Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, such as tutors, coaches, Great Britain Cycling Team and subject matter experts to deliver a learner-centred education programme, specifically for coaches.


Ensuring quality and safe coaching practice through a current and continuous development of Code of Practice and Coaching Guidelines. Future projects will also include coach licensing.


What we're looking for:




Knowledge of British Cycling's Coaching Framework, philosophy and approach to learning. Experience in developing innovative approaches to learning and development, from planning to delivery Experience of working with a range of experts, for example in coaching and coaching science, to achieve a project outcome An understanding of current developments in coaching across different domains or contexts An understanding of the cycling landscape including the current disciplines Knowledge and passion for creating digital learning within education and/or sport Ability to analyse and present technical information in an accessible format Degree or equivalent experience in either PE / Sports Science / Coaching / Education A track record in coaching cycling or other sport(s)
