Thirteen is a 22-cover fine dining restaurant in Poole, listed in the Michelin Guide.

The concept is contemporary British cuisine providing tasting menus for lunch and dinner. This reservation-only restaurant also provides a wine pairing option and a selection of cocktails.

Thirteen is located between Poole and Bournemouth on Ashley Road, Parkstone. The restaurant is on the

major M1/M2 bus route

and there is unrestricted on-street parking nearby.

Job Summary


We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving beverages efficiently, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer service to develop their skills in a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for those who thrive in fast-paced settings, demonstrating strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities



Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and presentation standards. Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout their visit. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations at all times. Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods and special events.

Experience



Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is advantageous. Strong serving skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer experiences. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Good time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts. Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting. This role requires a personable individual with a passion for hospitality, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to create memorable experiences for guests. All positions are paid, reflecting our commitment to fair employment practices within the hospitality industry.

What Is on offer



Be part of a unique restaurant and join our journey. Equal share of staff gratuities, prorated on hours worked. Typically, shifts would cover selected Friday nights, selected Saturday nights and selected Sunday lunch shifts. We open for Sunday lunch approximately twice a month. We are always closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Pay & Tips



This is a zero-hour hourly paid role, variable subject to reservation level. Gratuities are shared with all employees based on the number of hours worked, and is included in the monthly payroll.
