Role Overview

HERMEQ is seeking experienced

Coded Welders

to support the fabrication of

non-mechanical plant

at our Aston facility. The role involves high-quality welding and fabrication work to recognised standards, supporting projects across industrial and process plant sectors.

You will work from engineering drawings, welding procedures, and quality plans to produce compliant, traceable fabrications in carbon steel and stainless steel.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out coded welding to approved to relevant standards # Fabrication and welding of

non-mechanical plant

. Read and interpret

engineering drawings

, isometrics, and fabrication details. Prepare materials, joint fit-up, and welding consumables correctly. Perform welding processes such as

MIG / TIG / MMA

(depending on qualification). Maintain high standards of

quality, safety, and housekeeping

. Support inspection activities (visual inspection, NDT prep where required). Work collaboratively with supervisors, fabricators, and quality personnel.

Essential Requirements

Current or recently valid coded welding certification

(ISO 9606 or equivalent). Proven experience in

fabrication welding

, ideally within industrial or process plant environments. Competence in welding

carbon steel and/or stainless steel

. Ability to work accurately from drawings and WPS documentation. Strong understanding of

health & safety

in a fabrication environment. Right to work in the UK.

Desirable (Not Essential)

Multiple welding processes coded (e.g. TIG & MMA). Experience with

pressure-related fabrications

(non-mechanical). Forklift, overhead crane, or slinging qualifications. Previous work in regulated sectors (process, energy, water, chemical).

Hours:

Standard day shift with overtime available (details on application).
