We are currently looking for a number of experienced coded welders to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Read and fully understand the fabrication drawings for each project.
Fabricate steel structures in accordance with EN1090 (CE)& ISO3834 certifications from drawings.
Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to the correct standard.
Liaise regularly with Quality Control regarding any defects and any non-conformances.
Complete Cross Training in various welding activities, so cover can be provided when absences occur in the Welding Department.
Ensure Company H&S Processes followed.
Ensuring allocated work progresses in a timely manner and in accordance with workload and specifications.
To operate MIG/TIG welding equipment
Use precision measurement instruments.
Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment
Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling.
Clean tools, equipment, and work areas
Essential Criteria
Minimum of 5 years' operating as an established experienced MIG/TIG fabricator.
The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
Able to use Shop floor hand tools like Grinders, Hand Plasmas etc.
Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings
Organized and structured approach to your work.
Good attendance and timekeeping record.
Ability to maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, whilst maintaining a high level of productivity.
To undertake training in line with company standards.
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, structural steelwork or welding environment
Previous experience using a Laser welder
