We have an exciting opportunity for the role of Coffee Roaster at Ludlow Farmshop!

You will be responsible for sourcing, roasting and packaging a variety of Single Origin coffees and blends, as well as preparing the highest quality hot chocolates too! We produce in line with production schedules, strictly adhering to the highest levels of health & food safety at all times.

Within this role, you will oversee the success of our Coffee Roasting Department through the following:

Endeavour to source high quality coffee beans from relationship or fair-trade suppliers.

Ensure that you understand the best way to roast each type of coffee bean to meet its individual specification.

Be aware of trends and new products that will encourage sales.

To provide tastings of new coffees to enable both staff and customers to sample product and promote sales.

Audit cost prices on a regular basis to ensure accurate profitability.

Actively look for and share ways of improving productivity.

Actively look for and share ways of effectively controlling waste.

Liaise with the Ludlow Kitchen, The Clive Arms and the Retail department to ensure that they have sufficient stock levels.

Ensure that products are accurately priced, packaged and labelled and have the required legal information.

This is a part-time role, for 24 hours per week.
