Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team at Ori Caffe Bristol within the John Lewis Store . The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee and customer service, with a knack for creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves assisting in daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and preparation, and providing excellent service to our customers. Previous experience in hospitality or food preparation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and snacks while maintaining high standards of quality. Assist in food preparation and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including dining areas and equipment. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Support bartending duties as needed, ensuring all beverages are prepared accurately. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Assist with catering orders and events as required. Uphold the shop's values by promoting a friendly and inclusive environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment. A passion for coffee and customer service is highly desirable. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. Experience in bartending or catering is an advantage but not mandatory.
