Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team at Ori Caffe. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing a variety of beverages and food items, and ensuring the smooth operation of the coffee shop. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, experience in food preparation, and a keen eye for food safety standards. Responsibilities

Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring quality standards are maintained Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter, seating area, and kitchen surfaces Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system with accuracy Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations Uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times Support catering services during busy periods or special events Engage with customers in a warm, professional manner to enhance their experience

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous Experience working in a restaurant or as a barista is preferred but not mandatory Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in delivering exceptional customer service

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
