Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Barista to join our team at Ori Caffe within the John Lewis store at Liverpool One shopping Centre. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring that every drink is crafted to perfection.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Assist in food preparation, ensuring all items meet food safety regulations and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including the coffee machine, utensils, and serving areas. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any queries or concerns. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality. Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff. Perform basic maths calculations for order processing and cash handling as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or similar environment is required for this role Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices is advantageous. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and order processing accurately. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers and colleagues. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
