Coffee Shop Assistant / Shift Leader needed to join our team at Quiet Street Coffee, central Bath.

We are a small family business seeking a new friendly and positive team member!

The role would involve being in charge in the absence of the manager and supervisor. This would require working alone in quiet periods at the beginning and end of the day.

This is a full time, permanent role.

Job Summary

As a Shift Leader, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that our team delivers high-quality food and service while maintaining a positive atmosphere for both staff and customers.

Duties

Supervise and manage the coffee shop during shifts, ensuring smooth operations. This includes; serving customer, operating the till, make coffees and drinks, plating up cakes, clearing tables, etc. Setting up the shop in the morning and closing up the shop in the evening when required. Assist in limited food preparation, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. Help to provide training and support to new staff members. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop and servery areas.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is an advantage. Alternatively, management experience in an alternate sector. Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service.

Pay: 13.60 per hour

Expected hours: 37 - 45 per week
