We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Supervisor to lead our new team at Ori Caffe within the John Lewis Store Southampton in delivering exceptional service and high-quality food and beverages . The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and food preparation, with a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. As a Coffee Shop Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure adherence to food safety standards while fostering a positive work environment.

Duties

Supervise daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction. Train and mentor staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and barista skills. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations. Implement food safety protocols to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and quality. Assist in the preparation of food items and beverages while maintaining consistency in presentation and taste. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to enhance the overall guest experience. Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive work environment that encourages teamwork and productivity. Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and conducting performance evaluations.

Skills

Proven experience in supervising roles within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management skills. Background in culinary arts or food production is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Experience in food preparation and cooking techniques. Familiarity with barista skills is an advantage. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both customers and staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in hotel or kitchen settings is beneficial. Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour
