Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring smooth service delivery. Manage and train staff, fostering teamwork and promoting a positive work culture. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and serving areas. Assist in the production of food and beverages, including serving customers with efficiency and friendliness. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Implement training programmes for new employees on food safety, hospitality standards, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant or coffee shop environment is essential. Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and staff alike. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Experience as a barista or in a similar role is highly desirable.
